LG G4 Holiday Event & The Toronto Christmas Market

Hey guys - any guesses as to where I spent Wednesday night?

(Just one of the most Instagram-able spots in Toronto!)

I was lucky enough to be invited by LG Canada to check out their new phone - the G4. If you're particularly interested in new tech, devices, or mobile phonephotography (and who doesn't at least dabble these days?), you should check this one out. Click here for more info.

I attended the event at GotStyle in the Distillery District, with my good friend Kiran, who had been invited to try out the phone and its camera because of her fantastic Instagram prowess. You can find her at @lifeandstyleproject. Sometimes I think I care to much about my posts or spend too much time editing my photos, and then I hang out with Kiran and I realize that I am a lightweight by comparison. Having Kir with me meant endless photo-ops, which was the name of the game for this #LGG4Holiday. Guests were given the chance to play around with the phone's camera, before being escorted on a photo walk around the market to take gorgeous photos of the goings on. At the end of the night, the best photos would win the phone! Not bad at all.

I was a skeptic - as I think many of the guests were - however the manual capabilities of this phone make it comparable to a mini DSLR. At first we weren't sure how much we liked the phone's camera, but then thank goodness, the lovely Emmy from LG saw us struggling and showed us the ropes.

I must also mention the food which was by L-Eat Catering. Nearly everything I tried was delicious! Some highlights were the mini grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato soup, and the latkes with salmon - mmmm so good. Kir and I drank delicious Jackson Triggs Sauvignon Blanc throughout the evening, which was also great. I'm partial to the pinot grigio from Jackson Triggs, but it had been a long while since I'd had any Ontario wine at all so this was fab!

Lil bit of Jackson Triggs!

I also attended a concert tonight, but it's 1AM now, and sleep is currently a priority! Two events in one night (on either ends of the city) is a lot - even for me! I'll post more about the lovely Ben Kunder & Tim Moxam show on Friday! Have a great Thursday everyone :)

Your sleepy, yet very happy friend,
Alex
